SECOND (AND LAST) ANNOUNCEMENT OF SOLOVIEV' 99

1) Proceedings
The proceedings of SOLOVIEV99 will be published by World Scientific Publishing Co. (WSPC) (Singapore) as a hard cover book.
Each speaker will receive one copy of the proceedings free of charge.

All the speakers are kindly requested to submit their manuscripts to the editors before or during the Symposium. As such, the LaTex files of the manuscript, PostScript figures, and the PostScript file of the whole manuscript with figures inserted in the text should be sent via e-mail from now on until December 7, 1999 to:

Those who cannot prepare Poscript figures should send the LaTex file of the manuscript (without figures) to the above e-mail
address and one camera-ready hard copy of the manuscript (with all  filgures inserted in the text) by postal air mail to:

2) Registration upon arrival
A registration desk will be set up in front of the Nishina Hall (2nd floor of the Nishina building of RIKEN) on December 3, 1999 (Friday) from 15:30  until 17:00 and on Dec. 4 (Saturday) from 9:00 to 12:30. However, participants from abroad who are supported by the organizing committee and who arrive on Dec. 3, 1999 are kindly requested to register at the registration desk on Dec. 3 (Friday) if possible. If you cannot arrive in RIKEN during the registration time on Dec. 3, 1999, please inform us your arrival time well in advance so that proper arrangement can be made (See also (5) below). Participants from Japan who are supported by RIKEN will receive the support via their bank account after the symposium.

3) Get-together party & Symposium banquet
A get-together party will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM on December 3, 1999 (Friday) at the banquet hall (2nd floor) of the Hirosawa club.
The symposium banquet will be held on December 7, 1999 at the same time and same place.  Both the get-together party and symposium banquet will be at no charge for the registered participants of the symposium (and their accompanying members) to whom the symposium's badges will be issued at the registration desk or when they come to the parties.

4) Room payment
Kindly make sure you pay for your room and all extra expenses (such as international calls, drinks from the mini-bar and service in your room, etc.) incurred during your stay before your departure. For those who stay at the Nishina lodge, the reception desk is open everyday between 9:00 - 12:00 and 14:00 - 16:30, except on Saturday and Sunday.

5) For those who arrive in RIKEN on Dec. 3, 1999 evening:
  a) If you arrive just before or during the get-together party, i.e. between 6:00 PM and 8:30 PM, you should go directly to the banquet hall at the Hirosawa club of RIKEN (The guard at the entrance gate will show you how to go there. You can also find the place using the map here).

  b) If you arrive at the Wakoshi station late on Dec. 3, 1999 after the get-together party and your room is at the Nishina lodge, you should give a call (from the Wakoshi station) to Nguyen Dinh Dang at his home phone number 048-464-2012 (see (7) below to find out how to make a call from a public phone in Japan), who will come meet you at the station and hand you the key to your room. 6) Miscellaneous
- Kindly make sure you have your health and accident issurances from your home country before you travel to Japan. Various travel agents offer such kind of services.
- Kindly notice that if you loose the key of your room at the Nishina lodge, you will have to pay the cost for the replacement of the
whole lock of the door, which is quite expensive. Therefore, do not loose the key.
- Kindly notice that in Japan a consumption tax of 5% is added to any purchase. Also, if you use a taxi, please be aware that the door of taxi is opened automatically, so please be careful to avoid getting hit. Some public phones such as the one in the lobby of the Nishina lodge accepts only telephone cards, which you can purchase at Narita aiport, newspaper kiosks at subway stations or vending machines at department stores.

7) For emergency:
In case you get lost at any point on your way from Narita aiport to the Nishnina lodge in RIKEN or your hotel in Asaka city don't hesitate to make a call from any automatic telephone (the green one that accepts coins) to Nguyen Dinh Dang at the phones number 048-467-9462 (office) or 048-464-2012 (home), who will instruct you on how to find your way. The minimum coin that you have to use to make the call is a ten-yen coin. If you think the explanation would be long, please put more coins to avoid being interrupted.
